UGH. I Hate being sick. Ugh Ugh Ugh. I've been sick and out of the office since Wednesday. I knew I was getting sick when I turned down tickets for RUFUS WAINWRIGHT's sold out show on Tuesday night!!! (thanks so much Nicole for offering!)

Whenever I am sick, I just sit on the couch, catch up on TV, and the only thing that tastes good is ICE CREAM or Fruit Popsicles!

I'd hedge my bets that I'm going to be at the EchoPlex AGAIN this weekend. (I was just there DJing for The Walkmen show on Saturday. Which reminds me - why the F didn't The Walkmen play "Wake Up"? Um, you aren't Radiohead and "Wake Up" isn't CREEP, why not give the people what they want!) Anywhoo . . . have you been to this new venue yet? It's HUGE. Plus it's really pretty inside. You kinda forget you are in the basement of the Echo in Echo Park!

Thanks to Jennifer over @ ASCAP who told me about this Silver Lake Film Festival shindig this weekend. Who knew there were bands playing at a Film Festival? I didn't! I'd reccomend going this FRIDAY.

i'm obsessssssssed with the new Rihanna song "Umbrella". there's nothing like a good pop song! this one is my favorite, currently replacing beyonce's "irreplaceable" (which i believe is written by the same guy . . . ne-yo . . . am i right? if so, he's a genius.)

here's the video if you haven't seen it. Rihanna looks damn good in everything from a black cat suit, leotard with black point ballet shoes, and nothing but silver spray paint!
